Meguiar's Inc.
IMA took the Meguiar’s brand from a relative unknown in international markets to the major car care brand with an enthusiast oriented marketing model contributing far above average sales and profit growth even in challenging economies/markets. Meguiar's is now the cool brand in key markets with over five million cars.
In 2000, Meguiar's was present in only 13 international markets. Today, Meguiar's sells in over 90 countries and enjoys container load orders from international partners in over 60 countries. We started with the end user and by working very closely with our international partners, we built demand back through the distribution channels to the point where end users voiced dissatisfaction when shops did not carry Meguiar's. The business continues to grow in double digits even in 2009's unusual economic environment.

Meguiar's International Websites
Meguiar's was truly a web pioneer in car care in the U.S. Taking the brand global, we were faced with the challenge of maintaining the premium brand image while offering websites with a global image, informative information the end user wanted, meaningful local content, online shopping and a forum. We found a way to do this over 5 years ago and now Meguiar's has over 40 excellent websites outside of North America. IMA now operates similar international websites for Gorilla Glue, ND / Vibra-TITE, Posh Pile, Stoner Mold Release, and Stoner Car Care / Invisible Glass!
Meguiar's University of Sales
We successfully created and ran a Meguiar's University of Sales program in Asia, Europe, the Middle East, South Africa, and Latin America. The Sales University is followed by a Meguiar's Sales Challenge where groups of Meguiar's distributor sales people compete for prizes making real sales calls on real prospects. All the calls are videotaped and the Sales Challenges are a truly fun event. The average amount sold in these one to two day challenges is over $17,000 to totally new (to Meguiar's) retail outlets. In China this program has been improved by our local team to include attractive packages that sell extremely well and start outlets outright with the new line.
International Calendars
We gathered the very best 'car guys' in the global market. Once they used Meguiar's products we invited them to be in our People Who Love Cars, Love Meguiar's advertisements. The twelve best ads have been chosen each year since 2005 to be in our International Calendars. In the year we managed this program, our international partners purchased over 20,000 of these beautiful calendars!

Meguiar's Show Car Detail Centers
Over ten years ago, we developed the concept working with our Thai distribution partner for beautifully clean Meguiar's car care centers that would pamper customer cars with the world's finest detailing. Today we have over fifty centers throughout Thailand, three in China, and two beautiful centers in Malaysia. We developed a turn-key sign package, decoration guidelines and a Standard Operating Procedure manual based on our own time and motion studies.
